Khao Yai National Park is located in the Northeastern of Bangkok, a capita cityl of Thailand. Even thought the park is just abot 2 and half hours drive from Bangkok, the park is still very dense forrest, and wild animal.

 

Khao Yai's rainforests are extremely fertile because of the abundant minerals in the soil. You can see variety of rainforest wild flowers, along with wild orchids that can be found even at ground level.

 

There are the several nature trails on Khao Yai National Park, which tourist can trek to enjoy the fertile rainforests.

 

It's estimated that more than 200 kinds of butterfly species are present in Khao Yai and can be found in the forest areas, grasslands, and hilltops. Butterflies in these areas prefer shade such as Saturn (Zeuxidia amethystus), Jungleking (Thauria aliris), and Common Faun (Faunis canens).

 

Khao Yai National Park is one of the finest bird watching sites in the Kingdom and more than 340 bird species inhabit the area. Most forest birds are colorful and attractive and continue to fascinate bird watchers.
